“Go therefore and make disciples of ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” ~Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20)
“Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the One I love, in whom I delight; I will put my spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the NATIONS.”~Jesus (Matthew 12:18)
“…and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to ALL NATIONS, beginning at Jerusalem.” ~Jesus (Luke 24:47)
The Old Testament refers to Israel as a chosen people, set apart as children of God. However, one does not have to read very far to see that God is the creator and sustainer of all nations… past, present, and future. Both the Old Testament as well as the New make it evident that God created all nations for His glory. And now, Jesus has come to provide a way for each person in each nation to experience a relationship far closer to God than even the chosen nation of Israel experienced in the Old Testament. The word “nations” appears well over 500 times in the bible and is emphasized as the only means by with Christ Jesus the Lord will receive all the glory and attention that he deserves.
“Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)
God created “nations” to serve his purposes and fulfill his plan on earth. God created “nations” to experience a personal relationship with His Son. God created “nations” to worship Him. Our God given mission is to present the gospel to all nations and continue to make disciples and passionate worshipers of our Lord Jesus.
We, at Grace Baptist Church, seek to make disciples in all we do. But we cannot limit God to our local boundaries. Partnership with God’s servants on foreign soil is of great importance. We actively support individuals/couples in the mission field, local and national missions organizations, and individuals from our church going on short-term missions trips or attending seminary. This support includes prayer, funding, and physically aiding these missionaries in the U.S. or overseas. We also host an annual missions banquet, help organize missionary visits, and promote different missions opportunities to the church congregation.
Missionaries & Organizations Supported by GBC
This country in West Central Africa is home to 18,424,000 Africans. 16 of its 287 people groups have still never had the chance to hear the name of Jesus Christ. Praise God for the 271 that have. Still, over 23 percent of the population are muslims. Please pray for this country and for the missionaries that we partner with who are working here in Cameroon.
* Dennis & Nancy Palmer
While many of our supported missionaries are currently working in Cameroon, others are working in various other countries such as Brazil, Japan, Mexico, The Czech Republic, and Belarus. These countries need your prayers and support just as all other countries do, but please remember these specific missionary families as you pray to see God work continue overseas.

Mission fields are most commonly thought of as far away places that are very different from home. This definition fails to include our neighborhoods, work places, schools and even our children. Please pray for these local missionaries and organizations as they seek to glorify Jesus in our local mission field through full time ministry.
