About the Worship Ministry

Grace’s Worship Ministry exists to inspire Christ’s disciples to value God above all things in life.
Psalm 34 says, “My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!” … “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!”
This biblical snapshot of corporate worship inspires our congregation to join the psalmist in “tasting and seeing” the goodness of our God and Father. To worship God is to acknowledge that He is sovereign over us, and that he is worthy of our utmost affection, attention and adoration. Understanding this definition, worship becomes a daily activity that occurs in all we do. Music is a God given gift and is one way of expressing this affection, attention and adoration we have for the Lord. But as a body of believers, we understand that there is a variety of music styles through which God can be worshiped. So to broaden our Sunday worship experience we offer 2 different music styles in our worship services.
Traditional Music Service (Sunday Morning at 8:30)
Although the morning services contain the same teaching and content, the music selection and styles differ. The traditional service is comprised of mainly hymns with some older praise choruses and with piano and organ accompaniment. Vocals consist of a 4 part harmony with the occasional solo special music piece.
Contemporary Music Service (Sunday Morning at 11:00)
This service consists of mainly contemporary Christian music with one vocal leader and 1 to 2 harmony parts. Vocals are accompanied by a full band (drums, piano, keyboard, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar). Songs range from energetic to quiet and reflective. To accommodate the number of people who attend this style of service, we offer 2 identical contemporary services.
Worship gatherings are not limited to Sunday mornings. Each Sunday during UND’s school year at 7:00pm we hold our weekly college worship gathering Jacob’s Well. If you are a college student or young adult, please join us in this time of modern worship and foundational teaching.
Currently, Grace’s worship ministry has about 45 volunteers all together. Other areas of worship include:
